Three-clicks rule

The "three-clicks" rule simply states that your visitor should be able to get from any page on your site to any other page in three clicks (or less). Don't make your visitor click six or seven times to find what they need. Keep this is mind as you create your site map.

Consider this scenario from our Kookerkids site:



Let's say the visitor comes into our site on the Home page, and wants to
get to our Spanish lesson to learn to count:

The 3 clicks rule of Web site design states that a user should be able to navigate to any page in your site in 3 clicks or less

Next, the same visitor wants to move from the Spanish lessons to our Travel feature about Mackinac Island, Michigan. Again, it's three clicks:
